Boston-based songwriter Marissa Nadler’s latest release, ‘The Sister‘ comes out today on her own Box of Cedar Records. ‘The Sister‘ is a companion record of eight new tracks subtly linked to last year’s self-titled critically acclaimed LP and was recorded and produced by Brian McTear at Miner Street Studios in Philadelphia. Nadler will play select East Coast dates with Faces on Film this June including two performances in New York.
Her ethereal voice is hypnotizing and reminds me of a mash up between Hope Sandoval and the Fleet Foxes. After hearing ‘The Sister‘ I was hooked and immediately sought out other work by this gifted siren. Here are her tour dates and head on over to her website HERE to find out how to get this as well as her other works.
